About me

I am a London-based freelance journalist, researcher, copywriter and author of The Armchair Activist’s Handbook. If you’re here to find out more about the book, or are looking for useful links on activism, please head to my Books page.

As a journalist, I specialise in the environment, social issues and activism, with a bit of travel thrown in. I provide writing and editing services for a wide range of clients, including The Guardian, The New Statesman, New Internationalist, Sunday Times Travel Magazine, The Ecologist, Ethical Consumer, Conde Nast Traveller, The Big Issue, Third Sector, Ethical LivingFoodtripper, Wizz travel, Business Sense, Escape. I am the sub-editor for Nursery World and occasionally shift at Horticulture Week and WGSN.com. I also run a website called Ethical Travel.

A selection of my articles can be found on the Journalism section of the Work page.

Or to read about my approach to copywriting and research, go here.

To see some nice things that editors have said about me, check out the Testimonials section.

I also give the odd talk (such as this one) and radio interview about my book.

Please do have a look around to find out more – and why not get in touch?
